A tweet stemming from a parody account impersonating U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being taken seriously by users online.

The May 28 tweet “printing money is the only way out of inflation” (here) appears to originate from an account describing itself as parody (twitter.com/AOCpress). “Saying the quiet part out loud. (parody),” reads the account’s bio. The word “parody” is also visible in its name, though this isn’t visible in some of the screenshots circulating online.
