Climate

The Congresswoman’s first piece of legislation was the Green New Deal. Like President Roosevelt’s New Deal, the Green New Deal would create millions of jobs preparing our country for the impacts of climate change and transitioning our national energy grid to renewable sources. Thanks in part to her advocacy, last year, the federal government made its biggest ever investment in climate change - $369 billion to fight climate change, 9 million green jobs and net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
