Congressional Art Competition

*The 2025 Art Competition submission period is now closed. Stay tuned for updates on the 2026 competition.*

Every year the Office of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez invites high school students to participate in the Congressional Art Competition.

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide competition hosted by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. In collaboration with art teachers across our district, students submit entries to our office, and our panel selects the winning entry. The winner’s artwork is recognized in a special reception by the Congressional Institute and displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. You can view all winning entries here.

We hope students in New York’s 14th Congressional District will consider submitting pieces to future competitions to express themselves and showcase their artistic abilities. Interested students can review last year's Rules and Release Form here.
