In the Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters. DC interns are compensated for their work at a rate of $15/hour, unless sponsored by an outside organization also compensating at a rate of $15/hour. Interns are expected to work Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM.

Intern responsibilities in the Washington, D.C. office will include:

  • Answering phones
  • Sorting mail
  • Researching legislation
  • Attending briefings and hearings
  • Drafting constituent letters
  • Administrative work as assigned

Interns will work with staff to serve the constituents of New York’s 14th Congressional district. Our goal is to provide each intern with a meaningful experience that will enhance their understanding of the legislative process.
