The lawmakers announced the reintroduction, alongside co-sponsors and leaders from the labor, environmental justice and climate movements, at a press conference in front of the National Mall, a project whose renovation was funded in part by President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shared additional information about the funeral assistance program with the offices of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Most notably, FEMA shared that the maximum financial assistance will now be $9,000 per funeral.

NRG is currently seeking to update the 50-year-old turbine at their Astoria-area power plant with new natural gas-fired power.
